Fixed day shift ;

Read and interpret drawings and specifications;

Read and interpret drawings and specifications ;

Perform visual and dimensional inspections of welds and fabricated parts ;

Verify equipment conformity to customer drawings and specifications ;

Verify the type of materials used for fabrication against code requirements and customer specifications ;

Verify and approve material test certificates provided by suppliers ;

Document non-conformities and follow up corrective actions ;

Write control documents and inspection reports ;

All other related tasks.

Qualifications required

DEC in mechanical engineering or other training deemed equivalent ;

In-depth knowledge of welding techniques (SMAW, GMAW, GTAW, SAW) ;

Mastery of non-destructive testing (NDT) methods and inspection tools ;

Minimum 3 years' relevant experience in quality control ;

Experience in a custom manufacturing plant ;

Knowledge of Canadian and international standards (CSA, ASME, API, ISO) ;

Problem-solving and critical analysis skills ;

Bilingualism - English and French (required to communicate with customer inspectors);

Knowledge of Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word).
