EHS Compliance Specialist La Prairie

Become an EHS Compliance Specialist II with GEV in La Prairie, Quebec. This role requires fluency in French and English and 5 years of experience in industrial health and safety.
Reporting directly to the Environment, Health and Safety Director, you will be instrumental in implementing EHS programs that meet local regulatory standards. The job requires a strong focus on policy creation, workplace risk assessments, and compliance monitoring. Strong communication abilities will be necessary for effective documentation and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform evaluations of GEV’s current EHS programs

• Develop policies that align with best practices and regulations

• Conduct risk assessments to identify workplace hazards

• Review equipment compliance and suggest necessary safeguards

• Develop and manage a compliance calendar for key EHS deadlines
Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree related to Health and Safety or equivalent

• Minimum 5 years of experience in an industrial setting

• Bilingual – fluent in French and English

• Strong written and oral communication skills

• Interpersonal skills for effective collaboration
