Monday – Sunday 0700‑1500, 1500‑2300, 2300‑0700 – Full availability required.

Allied Universal is seeking an experienced Security Guard to oversee security operations at our Canadian site in Portage la Prairie.

• Familiarity with access control systems and alarm monitoring.
• Experience with report writing and note-taking.
• Knowledge of CCTV monitoring systems.
• Valid MB security guard license.
• Eligible to work in Canada over 30 hours per week.
• First Aid and CPR certification.
• Minimum age 18 years.
• High school diploma or equivalent (GED) or equivalent work experience.
• Proficiency using a computer.
• Residence in Portage la Prairie.

• Access control for the facility/area.
• Maintain a polished, professional, customer‑friendly image at all times.
• Ensure the facility’s safety and emergency procedures are followed in response to fire alarms and other site emergencies.
• Undertake site‑specific training and follow direction from the Site Supervisor or Manager.
• Demonstrate good judgment, common sense, and decision‑making ability, especially when required to lead others in emergencies or incidents.
• Maintain meticulous record keeping, report writing, and observation skills with excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Operate and monitor security room equipment and complete required site training.
• Perform vehicle gate and console duties.
