Job Description & How to Apply Below
Our client, an international powerhouse in industrial automation, is currently seeking a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to join their team on the South Shore of Montreal.
This mandate is tailored for a real-time systems expert accustomed to working in highly critical and regulated sectors. You will be tasked with designing and optimizing low-level software leveraging the capabilities of advanced microprocessors. The work environment demands absolute rigor, mirroring the standards of cutting-edge industries.
This is a 6‑month contract with an immediate start date. The role requires an on-site presence based on project phase requirements at the Greater Montreal offices.
Advantages Highly competitive compensation package with upward flexibility for truly exceptional candidates.
Stable daytime schedule of 40 hours per week, ensuring absolutely no overtime or weekend shifts.
Thriving within a globally recognized organization while working on next‑generation hardware architectures.
Responsibilities Design and develop robust embedded software for complex systems requiring maximum reliability.
Integrate and optimize real‑time operating systems (RTOS) on specific hardware architectures.
Leverage the capabilities of ARM Cortex‑A53 processors to maximize the performance of industrial applications.
Ensure all software solutions meet the stringent safety and quality standards inherent to critical environments.
Collaborate seamlessly with hardware engineering squads to ensure perfect cohesion between physical components and embedded code.
Produce comprehensive technical documentation to support continuous testing and validation phases.
Qualifications 5 to 10 years of recent and relevant experience in embedded software engineering.
Deep expertise in the application and integration of real‑time operating systems (RTOS).
Mastery in software development specifically targeted for ARM Cortex‑A53 processors.
Recent professional background in highly regulated sectors such as aerospace, medical devices, or the automotive industry.
Excellent communication skills for complex technical information.
Essential bilingualism in French and English to interact seamlessly with stakeholders.
b Our client operates in Canada. The company takes all reasonable steps to limit the number of positions in Quebec that require knowledge of a language other than French, and only requires it when necessary and its existing bilingual employees are unable to perform these duties.
Based on an assessment conducted by our client, it has been determined that this position requires candidates to be fluent in English (both spoken and written). In particular, this position will require the employee to interact with centralized internal departments (e.g., Operations / HR / Finance / Legal / Contracts / Sales) that support the organization in Canada and that do not speak French.
Summary We are looking for a seasoned embedded software engineer with specialized expertise in ARM Cortex‑A53 processors and RTOS environments. If you come from the medical, automotive, or aerospace sectors and are seeking a stable, highly technical mandate on the South Shore of Montreal, this opportunity is a perfect match.
