Letter Carrier - Delivery Agent and Postal Clerk; La Prairie

Job Responsibilities

• Delivery Agent:
  Begin each day at the depot, sort and prepare daily deliveries, load and drive a Canada Post postal vehicle, deliver mail and packages by foot or vehicle to customers on assigned routes, unload incoming mail at the depot for later delivery.
• Postal Clerk:
  Work in a sorting facility, sort mail and packages, operate material‑handling equipment, receive and accept mail items, sort/scan/sequence/batch mail items, transfer and dispatch parcels, perform other postal clerk duties as required, complete reports and documentation.

• Valid Class 5 or Class G driver’s licence with a safe driving record of at least 3 years (driver’s abstract required).
• Physical ability to lift mail items up to 22.7 kg (50 lb) and carry items up to 15.9 kg (35 lb) regularly.
• Ability to work in all types of weather.
• Availability for on‑call shifts, including evenings and weekends.
• Proficiency in reading, writing and speaking English and/or French.
• Experience in customer service, deliveries or driving is an asset.
• Experience working in a production environment is an asset.
