Job Overview

Canada Post is looking for a flexible and motivated individual to serve as a Delivery Agent or Postal Clerk on an on‑call basis. The role involves delivering mail and packages, both by foot and vehicle, or working in a sorting facility during various shifts.

Job Responsibilities

Delivery Agent – What you will do:

  • Start the day in the depot, sorting and preparing deliveries
  • Load and operate a Canada Post postal vehicle
  • Deliver mail and packages to customers by foot or vehicle on your route
  • Return to the depot to unload incoming items for later delivery

Postal Clerk – What you will do:

  • Work inside a sorting facility, sorting mail and packages
  • Operate material handling equipment
  • Receive and accept mail items, sort, scan, sequence, and batch them
  • Transfer and dispatch parcels and packets
  • Perform additional postal clerk duties as required
  • Complete reports and documentation
Qualifications

Must have:

  • Valid Class 5 or Class G driver’s licence with a safe driving record for at least 3 years (driver’s abstract required)
  • Physical ability to lift up to 22.7 kg (50 lb) and carry up to 15.9 kg (35 lb) regularly
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions
  • Availability to work on‑call, including evenings and weekends
  • Reading, writing, and speaking proficiency in English and/or French

Preferred / Helpful:

  • Experience in customer service
  • Experience delivering or working as a driver
  • Experience in a production environment
