Deliver mail independently for Canada Post in Châteauguay, Quebec, using safe driving and organized route knowledge during all weather.
This temporary, on-call relief position serves various communities from the Châteauguay area. The role requires sorting, collecting, delivering mail, operating a motor vehicle, and processing Canada Post products and services. French is essential, and applicants within 75 kilometres are preferred.
Key Responsibilities:- Sort, collect, and deliver mail safely and promptly
- Learn local roads, customers, and delivery receptacles
- Keep mail safely secured while in possession
- Process Change of Address and Damaged Mail products
- Wear visible Canada Post identification during deliveries
- Hold a valid permanent provincial Class 5 or G license
- Provide a satisfactory safe driving record and driver's abstract
- Operate a motor vehicle in varied weather and traffic
- Lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds
- Provide required vehicle liability insurance
