Korean Language Instructor - GRIT Course at Monterey, CA (Education)
ICA is currently seeking experienced Post DLPT/GRIT Korean language instructors to teach Post DLPT adult professionals, in person at the Defense Language Institute Foreign Language Center in Monterey, CA. The candidates should have at least two years of work experience teaching the Korean language to adult students on an intensive basis (8 hours daily).

- Iteration I: 9 February 2026 - 17 April 2026
- Iteration II:
23 March 2026 - 25 May 2026
- Preferred schedule: 8:00 am –4:30 pm EST (6 hours of teaching + 2 hours of preparation)
- Number of students:
up to 8 - Training location:
DLIFLC, Presidio of Monterey, CA - Hourly rate: $30 + $92 per diem (travel and lodging expenses are included)
- Plan and conduct Korean language classes using a variety of teaching techniques and approaches to sustain and improve students' listening, reading, and speaking skills (at ILR 2+ and higher).
- Administer weekly quizzes and assessments, and conduct other informal or formal evaluations of students' learning progress.
- Address individual learner gaps identified through DLPT/OPI scores, diagnostics, and supervisor observations.
- Provide monthly written reports of the students' progress to the supervisor and jointly develop plans to address any issues.
- Maximize the use of instructional technology, online learning apps, and authentic resources to support independent learning.
- Employ task‑based and communicative activities that reflect real‑world language use. Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in foreign language, linguistics, or a related field
