Base Pay Range: $3,644.00 – $4,140.00 (or $4,556.00 – $5,175.00) for full‑time positions.
Seniority Level: Entry level.
Employment Type: Full‑time.
Job Function: Health Care Provider.
Under the supervision of the Supervising Registered Nurse (SRN) II/III and the clinical supervision of a Physician & Surgeon, the Medical Assistant (MA) supports primary care providers in a variety of health care settings. The MA performs patient‑oriented procedures, assists the Primary Care Team (PCT) with daily clinic operations, communicates effectively with patients and the health care team, and performs administrative duties to promote efficient, appropriate, and cost‑effective use of health care resources.
Key Responsibilities- Assist primary care providers with patient examinations and procedures.
- Support the Primary Care Team (PCT) with daily clinic workflow.
- Communicate with patients and team members in a professional and caring manner.
- Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling, record‑keeping and inventory management.
- Collaborate with physicians and other health care providers to address patient needs.
- Valid certificate to practice as a Medical Assistant issued by an agency approved by the California Medical Board.
- Active certification status prior to appointment.
- Certified by one of the following agencies:
- American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA)
- American Medical Certification Association (AMCA)
- American Medical Technologists
- California Certifying Board of Medical Assistants
- Multi‑skilled Medical Certification Institute, Inc. (MMCI)
