Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Front Office Manager at Portola Hotel & Spa, located in Monterey, CA. Responsibilities include overseeing the daily operations of the front desk, managing and mentoring front office staff, ensuring guest satisfaction, and maintaining high customer service standards. The Front Office Manager will handle guest inquiries, monitor room availability, collaborate with various hotel departments, and implement policies to enhance guest experiences and operational efficiency.

This role requires strong leadership skills to motivate the team and meet the hotel’s service standards.

Qualifications
  • Proficiency in Office Administration and Front Office management, with attention to organizational detail
  • Strong skills in Customer Service and ensuring Customer Satisfaction
  • Effective Communication skills to interact with guests, staff, and other departments
  • Leadership and team management abilities to supervise and mentor staff
  • Problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to handling operational challenges
  • Proficiency with hotel management software and reservation systems is a plus
  • Previous hospitality, front office, or management experience preferred
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related field is a plus
