Navy SEPASS Data Engineer
Koniag Government Services (KGS) is seeking a Data Engineer to support enterprise‑level geospatial intelligence (GEOINT) systems engineering efforts for our federal customers. The role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining complex data pipelines and architectures that support mission‑critical GEOINT operations. This position requires an active TS/SCI clearance.

Education and Experience- Bachelor of Science: 5‑7 years of experience
- Master of Science: 3‑5 years of experience
- PhD: 0‑2 years of experience
- Provide advisory and assistance support by assessing enterprise geospatial technologies, workflows, content, and processes used across the NSG community.
- Contribute to the Enterprise GIS Strategy, assist with implementing strategic initiatives, research future technologies, and provide documentation and recommendations to leverage technological advances.
- Monitor resource allocation for SEP and provide resource tracking, leveling, and assessment for the Surf Eagle development.
- Perform full spectrum of systems engineering activities to implement an efficient, cost‑effective architecture for the SEP.
- Prepare and maintain NAVOCEANO and FNMOC‑specific architecture views to provide a foundational framework across the program and determine interoperability within the NSG and DoD.
- Document existing production processes, including performance metrics, to ensure the architecture meets requirements.
- Identify performance concerns and recommend solutions.
- Propose infrastructure changes and review other proposed changes to ensure alignment with approved architecture.
- Support and assist COMNAVMETOCCOM’s transition to the Intelligence Community Information Technology Enterprise.
- Provide support in lifecycle management, configuration management and change management.
- Advise the SEP PM on strategic needs for program evolution, including detailed roadmaps for IT infrastructure based on requirements and national standards.
- Attend and participate in forums as required by the COR.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent communication abilities.
