Cooking – Full Time and Part Time

. The role offers a competitive hourly wage of $21.00 to $23.00 per hour and provides an inclusive work environment for full time and part time schedules.

The Cook prepares food in accordance with federal, state and corporate standards, guidelines and regulations. The Cook ensures quality food service at all times and maintains a safe and clean kitchen environment.

• Prepares high‑quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions to meet production, delivery and service schedules.
• Serves meals or prepares food for delivery using correct portioning, meeting outlined standards, ensuring proper temperatures and an attractive presentation.
• Uses established ticket collection procedures during service and maintains accurate records for the area worked.
• Clears and cleans the kitchen after preparation and serving, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and proper food‑handling procedures.
• Keeps refrigerators and storerooms clean, neat and organized, ensuring food and supply items are stored per standards.
• Operates and maintains kitchen equipment as instructed.
• Assists in production planning, record keeping and reporting as required.
• Assists in ordering and receiving all food and supplies as required.
• Reports maintenance needs, faulty equipment or accidents to the supervisor immediately.
• Attends in‑service and safety meetings.
• Maintains good working relationships with coworkers, customers, administrators and managers.
• Performs job safely while maintaining a clean, safe work environment.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Ensures proper presentation, portion control and maintenance of serving temperatures; follows HACCP standards.
• Personal commitment to safety and the Well‑Being of others.
• Abides by all Company policies and procedures.
• The use of a medium weight cut gloves when handling knives, peelers, choppers, mandolins or cleaning a slicer.
• The use of oven mitts, fryer gloves or steamer gloves when handling hot pans from ovens, warmers or steam tables.
• The use of slip‑resistant shoes and proper lifting techniques.

• High school diploma or equivalent required, plus a valid Food Handler's card preferred.
• Proven experience in a fast‑paced kitchen environment.
• Strong knowledge of food safety, temperature control and hygiene standards.
• Excellent organizational and time‑management skills.
• Ability to work effectively with a cooperative kitchen team.
• Physical stamina for standing and moving around a busy kitchen.
