Job Description
Under the leadership of the department director and their assigned supervisor, the food service worker I has a variety of duties. Duties may include but are not limited to:
- dishwashing
- pot washing
- environmental cleaning
- sanitation and waste disposal
- bussing of tables
- delivery and retrieval of patient trays and/or carts
- delivery of food and non-food supplies
- stocking of food and non-food supplies
- basic food/beverage production
Fluency, the ability to communicate orally, and the ability to read and write in English is required. Passing a basic reading and math test is required. Working quickly and accurately is required. Basic food/beverage production skills are required. Food service experience is preferred.
EducationHigh school diploma, GED, or equivalent education or experience in related field required.
Licensure/Certification sCalifornia Food Handler’s card at the time of hire or within three (3) months of employment.

Assigned Work HoursPer diem, varied days and shifts as needed. No set guaranteed hours in a two week pay period. This is not a full or part time position.

The hours employees work determine when a shift differential is paid.
Hourly Evening Shift Differential: $1.69
Hourly Night Shift Differential: $2.53
