Compensation: Base salary $50,000 + Commission (Earn $100K+)

Floor Coverings International of Monterey is looking for a Design Associate / Outside Sales Consultant to join our growing team! You’ll bring the showroom to the customer’s home, helping them choose flooring that fits their style, budget, and lifestyle — all while building relationships that last.

This is a high-energy, consultative sales role for someone who loves connecting with people, thrives on independence, and wants to be part of a supportive, family-oriented company.

• Meet clients in their homes to understand their vision and guide them through flooring options.
• Use your design sense and product knowledge to create beautiful, functional solutions.
• Own the process from consultation to installation, ensuring every detail is handled with care.
• Build and nurture long-term customer relationships and referral networks.
• Use our proven, tech-driven sales system (tablet/laptop) to stay organized and deliver results.

• 2+ years of in-home or outside sales experience (
  flooring experience preferred
  )
• Strong understanding of flooring products, materials, and trends
• Customer-first mindset with exceptional communication and follow-through
• Goal-oriented, self-motivated, and organized approach to sales
• Comfort with technology (CRM, quoting, scheduling tools)
• Valid driver’s license and dependable transportation
