CDL Bus Operator - Route

Overview

Driver - Fixed Route. We are currently looking for an experienced Bus Driver to join our team in Salinas, CA. You will be entrusted with ensuring safe and comfortable transportation for our passengers, while upholding high standards of professionalism and customer service.

• Safety-Focused Operations:
  Follow designated routes and schedules, adhere to safety protocols and traffic regulations.
• Passenger Care:
  Provide exceptional care and assistance to passengers, ensuring smooth boarding, comfortable rides, and timely disembarkation.
• Vehicle Vigilance:
  Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, report maintenance issues, and maintain cleanliness and safety of equipment.
• Adherence to Protocols:
  Enforce seat belt policies, follow emergency procedures, and comply with regulatory mandates.
• Other duties as required.

• 21 years or older
• Valid CDL Class B with Passenger endorsement or CDL permit with Passenger endorsement
• Passenger endorsement required
• Minimum 3 years of driving experience (personal or professional)
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work shifts or flexible schedules as needed
• Subject to DOT drug testing and physical if applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 prohibits the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis.

• Work outside in varying temperatures and conditions; sit for extended periods; walk long distances; navigate sloped or uneven surfaces
• Push/pull up to 50 pounds; lift up to 50 pounds with or without assistance
• Withstand exposure to dust, vehicle fumes, and noise; tolerate heavy traffic areas

• Vacation: 5 days per year (after 90 days)
• Paid Sick Leave: 8 hours monthly full-time / 5 hours monthly part-time

• All benefits subject to Union Collective Bargaining Agreement

Job type:
Full-time. Pay: $27.00/hour (Starting pay under the Union Collective Bargaining Agreement).
