Clerical, Office Assistant
Alabama State University, Office of Record and Registration, invites applications to fill the position of Transcript Clerk. Under direct supervision this position will process transcript requests and assists with general administrative functions in the Records Office.
Duties and Responsibilities:- Processes transcript requests for former and current students.
- Accurately files, retrieves, and assists in maintenance and categorization of student records.
- Assists the Student Records Specialist in transcript and file management.
- Provides general support to the Office of Records and Registration i.e.; assisting students, answering phones, responding to emails and various office tasks.
- Trains and supervises college work study students.
- Perform other duties assigned.
High School Diploma or GED, certification in a clerical area or equivalent work experience with data processing, working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and general office practices and procedures and the ability to categorize information using standard office practices. One year of general office experience preferred.
