This is an advanced-level executive support position performing a full range of general and specialized administrative support procedures, with differentiation from lower administrative support levels in providing direct support to the Mayor's Office in a variety of administrative functions. The employee may supervise lower-level employees. Work in this class is non-routine and cyclical in nature. Work requires knowledge of office administration, protocols, and supervision.
A Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field and four (4) years of advanced administrative experience that demonstrates full knowledge of organizational functions, to include contract review and government affairs. Qualified candidates should also have experience in supporting upper-level management. A technical certification in Office Administration or a closely related area may substitute for one year of experience.
Advanced training in office administration or a closely related area is preferred at this level.
