Montgomery UP! is the newest brand of our fast growing, 10 year old company, including Bham Now, Hville Blast and The Bama Buzz.
We serve our audiences with free local, digital content focused on uplifting, fun and useful news and information. We publish through our websites, newsletters and social media.
We don't cover crime or politics.
We also specialize in creating unique, custom advertising messages for our clients including local businesses, non-profits, and destinations.
Content Producer Description
The Content Producer will be public facing role, responsible for day-to-day content writing including breaking news, publishing and promotion on social media. Content Producer will be required to produce sponsored content for Montgomery UP! clients. Must live in Montgomery, AL and available to travel locally for meetings, interviews and other 5 days/week.
Qualifications
- 5+ years expert writing skills in a fast paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven organizational and multitasking skills
- Experience publishing on social media (IG in particular)
- Experience in client communications and branded content
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Photography/video experience with your phone
- Experience in the media or marketing industry
- Must be flexible and love to learn
- B.S. in Journalism, Communications or related
- Pay commensurate with experinece
