TECHNOLOGY TEACHER – STEM FOCUS
Alabama State Department of Education
This position is designed for an enthusiastic educator committed to delivering high‑quality, interactive STEM instruction to elementary students, promoting inclusive learning environments, and fostering students’ long‑term engagement with STEM fields.
Responsibilities- Prepare and deliver culturally relevant, engaging STEM lesson plans for elementary students.
- Coordinate opportunities for students to interact with industry experts and subject‑matter specialists (e.g., guest speakers, laboratory visits).
- Act as a role model and mentor, promoting student well‑being, confidence, and success, and encouraging sustained participation in STEM activities.
- Design and adapt curriculum to create a fun, interactive, and empowering learning environment.
- Organize STEM nights at the school, Science Fairs, and district STEM projects.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the principal.
