Join to apply for the 2024 ELEMENTARY SUMMER ENRICHMENT GENERAL EDUCATION TEACHERS-READING & MATH CAMP role at Alabama State Department of Education.
Job Responsibilities- Provide content instruction, including the approved program or portions of the lessons throughout the day.
- Deliver direct, explicit, and systematic reading intervention services to improve identified reading deficiencies.
- Utilize evidence-based reading strategies or programs to accelerate student reading achievement.
- Implement approved comprehensive mathematics curricula for core instruction, as recommended by the Elementary Mathematics Task Force.
- Use approved mathematics intervention programs or curricula for Tier 2 and Tier 3 interventions.
- Consistently apply evidence-based mathematics teaching practices.
- Attend paid professional learning sessions before the program starts and as needed during the camp.
- Prepare and plan daily lessons and instruction.
Salary: $50.00 per hour
Funding Source: ESSER Funds - Set aside for summer learning camp
Work term: May 28 - June 27, 2024
Work Hours: 7:15 AM - 12:00 PM during Summer Camp
