Description✨Join a group of passionate advocates on our mission to improve the lives of youth! Rite of Passage Team is hiring for a Part-Time Math Teacher (Licensed 6th – 12th) at J. Walter Wood Jr. Residential Treatment Facility (JWWJ) in Montgomery, Alabama✨
Walter Wood Jr. Residential Treatment Facility is a 24-bed residential program serving female youth ages 14 to 18. Located in Montgomery, Alabama, JWWJ offers a safe, structured, and gender-responsive environment tailored to the unique needs of young women requiring specialized residential treatment. Through a youth-centered approach and evidence-based therapeutic practices, JWWJ equips residents with the skills and support needed to heal, develop resilience, and succeed during their placement and beyond.
Pay
: $24.00 per hour and increasing based on level of education and experience.
As a P/T Teacher you will work primarily with students in an educational setting delivering a curriculum of Target Teaching methodologies. As a teacher, you will track student attendance, maintain student grades, prepare lesson plans, and assist as needed in the classroom setting.
To be considered you should:- Possess a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree
- Be at least 21 years of age
- Be able to pass a criminal background check, drug, physical, and TB test
- Be able to pass a search of the child and adult abuse central registry
- Currently have an active Teacher certification in Math
3 days a week Monday – Friday, however schedule may vary or be adjusted due to business demand or unforeseen circumstances.
