Job Summary
The Industrial Engineer will create, develop, and implement efficient manufacturing systems, reducing costs while maintaining standards of operations.
Duties/Responsibilities- Collaborates with senior engineers to design cost-effective manufacturing layouts and building ergonomics for new product lines.
- Designs, redesigns, or enhances work areas and layouts so that awkward or uncomfortable positions, repetitive motions, and inefficient operations are reduced or eliminated.
- Maintains knowledge of best practices in manufacturing methods, trends and developments in technology and equipment; applies this knowledge to maintain the organization’s competitive edge.
- ifies and assesses various problems and departures from established manufacturing standards and best practices; researches and recommends solutions.
- Develops and maintains management information, planning, and control systems.
- Implements methods and modifications to reduce production costs.
- Collaborates with all departments to include supervisors, engineers, and other associates.
- May assist with supervision of technicians.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering required.
ExperienceAt least one year of engineering experience required.
SkillsExcellent verbal and written communication skills. Thorough understanding of ergonomics and applicable industry standards. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Physical RequirementsNormal office environment which requires the ability to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, and see. Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. May involve the ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 15 pounds lity to be active in a manufacturing environment to access and navigate all areas in the facility and access all machinery.
