Works as a Network Administrator and is responsible for implementing activities of technology projects relating to enterprise level networking and communications systems ensuring goals are accomplished for Jackson Hospital and Clinic. May be assigned a trainer role within the scope of authority.
Education/CertificationsBachelor’s degree required. Bachelor’s degree in an associated Information Technology discipline is preferred.
Licenses or Certifications RequiredValid State driver’s license. Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA). Must be able to obtain CCNA certification, through self-study, within 6-months of employment. Security certifications desired (e.g. COMPTIA Security+, CASP, etc.). Cloud certification desired (AWS Certified Architect, AWS Cloud Practitioner, or equivalent Azure certifications). Other IT Certifications are highly desired.
ExperienceFour (4) years’ experience with Information Technology networking solutions. Two (2) years of experience in related field may be substituted for each year of college.
SkillsExtensive knowledge in TCP/IP. Extensive knowledge in network routing and switching (subnetting, VLANS, STP, EIGRP, OSPF). Extensive knowledge in wireless technology and RF promulgation (802.11). Extensive knowledge of perimeter networking (BGP). Extensive knowledge in DHCP and OSI layers. Extensive knowledge in network management software (e.g. OP Manager or Solar Winds ). Proficient knowledge of unified communications (Cisco VOIP). Proficient knowledge of industry standards (IEEE, TIA, etc.).
Proficient in trouble ticket tracking systems (Manage Engine/Service Desk). Excellent data, oral and written communication, and people skills. Current on the latest technological advances within the IT industry.
