Baptist Health is the largest healthcare system serving central Alabama, providing comprehensive hospital‑based and outpatient services to nearly 60% of the residents in Montgomery, Autauga and Elmore counties.

• Diagnose, evaluate and treat individuals with communication problems such as speech, language fluency and swallowing disorders.
• Develop and implement therapeutic speech and language development programs and services.
• Provide general discipline‑specific therapy services to meet patient care requirements.
• Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
• Maintain a professional and customer‑centric composure in difficult or challenging situations.
• Effectively communicate with people of various backgrounds throughout the organization.
• Provide a positive customer service experience to guests, visitors, and patients.
• Supervise and train employees, including organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work assignments.
• Use computers, preferably a PC in a Windows‑based environment.

Education / Experience: Master’s degree in Speech‑Language Pathology required.

License / Certification: Active Alabama (ABESPA) Speech‑Language Pathology license required. ASHA CCC or CFY license required. BLS required.

Position requires sitting 30% of the workday and mobility 70%. Occasional stooping, bending, kneeling, and crouching. Frequent reaching, use of hands, repetitive action. Occasional lifting up to 15 lbs or pushing/pulling up to 150 lbs. Continuous need for clear diction and hearing sensitivity in conversation via phone or in person. Continuous visual acuity at close and distant range. Protected from weather but not necessarily from temperature changes.

Minimal noise levels. Occasional exposure to electrical shock, infectious disease, hazardous chemicals, and radiation.
