Highlights- Implement the Occupational Therapy Plan of Care for all patients established by the Occupational Therapist.
- Monitor and complete progress notes and discharge summaries.
- Ensure all treatments are performed as ordered or communicate why treatment was not performed.
- Additional duties may be assigned that are within scope of the role.
The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant shall be responsible to implement the Occupational Therapy Plan of Care for all patients established by the Occupational Therapist. This individual shall monitor and complete progress notes and discharge summaries. Additionally, the Assistant will ensure all treatments are performed as ordered or communicate why treatment was not performed.
Education / ExperienceAssociates degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant required, Bachelor's degree preferred.
License / CertificationActive COTA licensure required, BLS required.

Physical Requirements
Position requires sitting for 25% of the workday and mobility 75% of the workday. Occasional stooping, bending, kneeling, and crouching. Frequent reaching, use of hands, and repetitive action. Requires occasional lifting or carrying up to 75 pounds, pushing/pulling up to 100 pounds. Continuous need for speaking with clear diction and hearing sensitivity in conversation either by phone or in person. Continuous visual acuity at close and distant range.
Outside protected from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes. Minimal noise levels. Occasional exposure to risk of electrical shock. Some exposure to infectious disease while performing job‑related tasks. Some exposure to hazardous chemicals. Occasional exposure to radiation.
