- master's degree in behavior analysis or a related field with a strong emphasis in behavior analysis
- certification as a board-certified behavior analyst
- evidence of working with school teams, consultation, collaboration, and training of school faculty and support staff in functional behavior assessments, function-based treatment, and proactive classroom behavior management strategies
- evidence of strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- collaborate with general and special education teachers to develop proactive behavior management strategies for students with behavioral issues
- conduct functional behavior assessments and assist in the development, implementation, and monitoring of behavior intervention plans for students with behavioral issues
- collaborate with other individuals, agencies, and departments for students in need of more comprehensive behavioral services
- provide ongoing professional development and support to school district personnel with an emphasis on evidence-based strategies for proactively reducing challenging student behavior
- other related duties assigned by the supervisor
(the funding for and duration of this position are finite, pursuant to the students first act of 2011, section 4(3)(b), tenure may not be gained by time served in this position).
special note: the person selected for this position must agree to a background check, be fingerprinted, and pay a $46.20 fee. This is required by law.
special note: for employees starting work after the beginning date of the work term, the salary will be pro-rated and based on the number of contract days left in the school year, divided by the remaining months in the contract year.
