Job Description
The Training and Development Analyst is responsible for facilitating training, executing employee development programs, maintaining training systems for ISO-9000 compliance, and delivering training programs. This role involves maintaining a training tracking system to enhance the skills and capabilities of employees in the production manufacturing plant. The analyst assists the Sr. HR Manager and HR Manager in administering training content, scheduling classes, and conducting training for plant team members.
This position serves our Water Heater Division, located in Montgomery, Alabama.
Responsibilities- Facilitate onboarding for newly hired and temporary production employees, ensuring training on products, safety practices, and role expectations.
- Collaborate with leadership to establish and document training protocols supporting onboarding and ongoing development.
- Provide feedback on training needs to improve onboarding and employee retention.
- Offer progression training for employees advancing to new roles, covering skills and processes.
- Coach newly trained employees to support safety, quality, and productivity.
- Observe and coach employees as appropriate based on daily interactions.
- Oversee compliance training via the Learning Management System, ensuring accurate record keeping.
- Serve as a resource for employees regarding work processes, machinery operation, and safety.
- Support supervisors and leads with information on daily operations, safety, quality, and tools.
- Provide retraining after injuries, near misses, or procedural updates.
- Note:
The environment is not temperature-controlled and may require walking and standing for extended periods. - Overtime, evening, or weekend hours may be required based on production demands.
- Analyze training needs to develop or improve training programs.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- At least 3 years of experience in Training and Development or instructional education.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Knowledge of adult learning principles and training methodologies.
- Ability to adapt to evolving industry standards and regulations.
- Experience in training within a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency with ERP or similar software.
