We apply problem‑solving skills to identify innovative workflow efficiencies, and implement technology solutions to enhance our systems, products and processes.

Our Team – The Securities Credit Data team is responsible for timely and accurate entry of new bonds and loans, secondary market review, updates, and client support. Responsibilities also include developing new data pipelines, implementing data validations, reviewing processes for efficiencies, and expanding data sets in collaboration with Engineering, Core Product, News, and Enterprise.

What’s the role? As a Data Engineer for Loans, you will:

• Handle and improve the financial data that feeds Bloomberg products.
• Identify workflow efficiencies and implement technical solutions.
• Establish links with key players in the financial market.
• Manage data for our loans product, create pipelines from additional sources, and automate data alignment and quality strategies.
• Lead technical implementation of onboarding new datasets.
• Define fit‑for‑purpose data products and deliver a roadmap aligned to the overall product vision.

• Develop data‑driven strategies and collaborate with engineering, product, and enterprise data teams.
• Analyze internal processes for improvement and implement innovative solutions.
• Design data models for raw and enriched data storage, following FAIR data principles.
• Develop data quality strategies for the Loans dataset and implement scalable solutions.
• Use data visualisation skills to report on ongoing operations and projects.

You’ll Need To Have

• 4+ years of programming experience in a development and/or production environment.
• Proficiency in scripting languages for building pre‑processing services integrated into data pipelines.
• Strong data modelling principles and technologies for requirement analysis and conceptual, logical, and physical modelling.
• Experience profiling new datasets and building high‑volume, low‑latency ETL pipelines.
• Understanding of data quality standards to improve dataset value.
• Proven project management track record and a customer‑focused mindset.

We’d Like To See

• Advanced degree/Master’s or equivalent in Finance, STEM, or relevant field; CFA designation (or pursuit).
• Familiarity with statistical methods such as Machine Learning, AI, NLP.
• Experience designing optimal database structures.
• Experience working in an Agile development team.

Salary Range: $110,000 – $190,000 USD annually + Benefits + Bonus.
