Summary:
The Assistant Manager - EHS (Safety Training) position manages and coordinates safety programs to ensure a safe, healthy, and accident-free work environment. They implement accident prevention programs and coordinate and conduct trainings for employees at the facility.

We cater logistics strategies and processes to our customers needs by utilizing the latest information systems and advanced technologies.
Responsibilities- Manage Safety Programs
- Encourage employees and supervisors to report injuries and unsafe conditions promptly, and coordinate corrective actions
- Coordinate with other department heads on design and construction of new equipment, facilities, and work methods to ensure safety policy and regulatory compliance
- Identify potential safety hazards and report recommendations for elimination or reduction
- Maintain knowledge of federal and OSHA regulations, disseminate new safety standards, and post updates as needed
- Investigate all accidents and injuries and coordinate corrective actions
- Supervise and monitor rail safety policies and procedures in compliance with applicable regulations
- Implement and monitor safety programs to reduce accidents and workers compensation costs
- Develop and update safety training programs for general safe work practices and job-specific hazards
- Provide training for new employees
- Follow up on corrective actions to verify effectiveness
- Attend relevant company meetings related to safety
- Other duties as assigned related to safety
- Skills:
Proficient with PC tools (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint); ability to present information and respond to questions; fluency in required workplace languages
- HS Diploma/G.E.D. Required
- Associate s Degree Preferred
- 6-9 years of experience in EHS, Safety, Workers Compensation, and/or Training Required
- 7-11 years of experience in EHS, Safety, Workers Compensation, and/or Training Preferred
- Valid State Issued Driver s License Required
- Hazmat, IPP, OSHA Certified Training or Certificate Preferred
