RN 1 N Post Surgical Med/Surg Days Full Time

The Registered Nurse shall be responsible for the general supervision and coordination of activities of nursing personnel on shift, including weekends and holidays, to ensure quality and continuity of patient care. This individual will utilize the nursing process in patient assessments, planning of care, and performance of care interventions, and will collaborate with physicians and other clinicians in the planning and implementation of patient care.

• Coordinate nursing activities on shift, weekends, and holidays.
• Utilize the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation.
• Collaborate with physicians and clinicians in patient care planning.
• Perform additional duties as assigned within scope of role.

• Education:
  
  Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred.
• Licensure:
  Active RN licensure required; BLS required; additional certifications (ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC, etc.) may be required.

• Observe, assess, and record work, safety, and infection control standards.
• Work independently and in a team environment.
• Foster a cooperative work environment.
• Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
• Resolve customer complaints and concerns.

Position requires sitting for 20% of the workday and mobility 80%. Occasional stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching, reaching, and repetitive action. Occasionally lift or carry up to 50 lbs, push/pull up to 150 lbs. Requires clear diction and hearing sensitivity, visual acuity, exposure to computer work, and occasional exposure to electrical shock, infectious disease, hazardous chemicals, and radiation.
