Job Title

ED RN 7P FT (KP) – Baptist Health - Central Alabama

Baptist Health is the largest healthcare system serving central Alabama, providing comprehensive hospital-based and outpatient to nearly 60 percent of the residents in Montgomery, Autauga and Elmore counties.

• General supervision and coordination of nursing personnel on shift, weekends and holidays.
• Utilize nursing process in patient assessments, planning of care, and performance of care interventions.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare clinicians in planning and implementation of patient care.
• May have additional duties within scope of role.

Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred.

Active RN licensure required; BLS required. Additional certifications (ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC, etc.) may be required depending on area assigned.

• Ability to observe, assess, and record work, safety and infection control standards.
• Work independently and in a team environment.
• Foster a cooperative work environment.
• Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
• Resolve customer complaints and concerns.

Position requires sitting for 20% of the workday and mobility 80% of the workday.

Occasional stooping, bending, kneeling, and crouching.

Frequent reaching, use of hands and repetitive action.

Requires occasional lifting or carrying up to 50 pounds, pushing/pulling up to 150 pounds.

Continuous need for speaking with clear diction, hearing sensitivity in conversations by phone or in person.

Continuous visual acuity at close and distant ranges.

Protected from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes. Minimal noise levels.

Occasional exposure to electrical shock, infectious disease, hazardous chemicals, and radiation.
