Traveling Quality Control Manager; QCM

Job Description

We are seeking a Traveling Quality Control Manager (QCM) to support a large‑scale data center project worth around $1B in Montgomery, Alabama. RCDD Certification is preferred for this role but not required.

• Implement and manage the six‑step quality control/safety process, including site‑specific quality programs
• Lead weekly QC meetings and maintain the project Quality Process Log (QPL)
• Develop preparatory meeting agendas and participate in meetings prior to each definable feature of work
• Interface directly with owner’s quality assurance and management teams on all quality‑related issues
• Review inspection reports, punch lists, and close‑in inspection results
• Submit and review RFIs to ensure changes are implemented in the field
• Coordinate trade partner test and inspection schedules and document daily QC activities
• Audit trade partner QC procedures and report chronic issues to upper management
• Select and coordinate third‑party testing agencies and verify adherence to standards
• Participate in source inspections and oversee QC personnel development

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or equivalent experience
• 5–7 years of experience on large commercial construction projects
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel extensively
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel templates), Prolog, Primavera, and AutoCAD
• RCDD Certification preferred but not required

This is a fully Traveling QCM role. The current project is in Montgomery, Alabama.

This is a Contract position based out of Montgomery, AL.

The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $67.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Montgomery, AL.
