COMMERCIAL REAL ESTATE CLOSING ASSISTANT
MONTGOMERY, AL

Position Summary: The Commercial Real Estate Closing Assistant ensures the seamless and timely execution of real estate transactions by managing the closing process. This role involves coordinating with clients, real estate agents, lenders, attorneys, and other stakeholders to ensure all documentation is accurate and deadlines are met. The specialist is responsible for verifying compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and ensuring a smooth transaction from contract to close.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transaction Management:

    • Review and process purchase agreements, title commitments, and closing documents.
    • Monitor deadlines and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
    • Coordinate closing dates with buyers, sellers, lenders, and attorneys.
  • Document Preparation and Review:

    • Prepare accurate closing disclosures, settlement statements, and other necessary documentation.
    • Verify the accuracy of information, including loan terms, taxes, fees, and title conditions.
  • Communication and Coordination:

    • Serve as the primary point of contact for all parties involved in the closing process.
    • Communicate with lenders to obtain final loan approval and funding.
    • Address any issues or discrepancies promptly to avoid delays.
  • Compliance and Record Keeping:

    • Ensure all transactions comply with relevant laws and regulations.
    • Maintain accurate records of closing documents and transaction details.
  • Customer Service:

    • Provide exceptional service to clients by answering questions and addressing concerns throughout the closing process.
    • Guide clients through the signing process, explaining documents as needed.
  • Qualifications
    • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required;
      Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in business, real estate, or related field preferred.
    • Experience:
      • 2+ years of experience in real estate transactions, title, escrow, or mortgage processing.
      • Familiarity with real estate laws, regulations, and practices.
    • Skills:
      • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
      • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
      • Proficiency in real estate software and Microsoft Office Suite.
      • Ability to multitask and manage deadlines effectively.
    • Certifications:
      • Title or escrow certification is a plus.
    Work Environment

    The role is typically performed in an office setting, with occasional travel to closing locations. Remote or hybrid options may be available depending on company policy.
