Senior Meat Cutter

Position Summary

As a Senior Meat Cutter you will drive sales in your area to deliver to our members more of what they love, for less. You will work collaboratively with other associates to ensure the total club meets the member’s expectations.

• Be a Team Member – Collaborate with cross‑functional teams; educate associates on tools, tasks, and resources; communicate effectively; develop interpersonal skills; maintain product inventory and control shrinkage.
• Be an Expert – Maintain in‑depth knowledge of meat varieties, seasons, equipment, and back‑room operations; process meat according to specifications (cutting, slicing, grinding, wrapping) while ensuring food safety, sanitation, and inventory standards.
• Be a Techie – Leverage digital tools to drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and elevate associate engagement; use handheld technology for real‑time decisions on production, training, and product quality.
• Be an Owner – Drive business results, plan for profitability, maintain a clean work area, ensure high‑volume product quality, eliminate waste, and package, label, and store merchandise properly.
• Be a Talent Ambassador – Advocate for the department and club; model high‑quality service; train and mentor associates.
• Comply with company policies and ethics – Implement related action plans, use the Open Door Policy, and adhere to integrity standards.
• Complete work assignments and priorities, use policies, data, and resources; collaborate with managers, coworkers, and partners; communicate progress and recommend improvements.
• Show respect and inclusivity – embrace differences, build strong relationships, communicate with impact, and recognize contributions.
• Act with integrity and support Walmart’s regenerative mission.
• Serve customers and members – deliver results while putting the customer first and making decisions based on reliable information.

• Minimum 6 months’ experience working in a fresh production department.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Completing all required training and assessments within a prescribed time period.
