AES recently expanded its services by adding a Mechanical Services Division and becoming a miscellaneous steel manufacturer, offering a single‑source supplier for many needs.
What Drives SuccessImmediate positions are available for Apprentice Commercial HVAC Installers. Apprentices travel nationally and work under the supervision of Crew Leaders, typically on teams of 4–6. Ideal candidates have experience in commercial HVAC equipment replacements, including rooftop units, adapter curbs, HVAC electrical knowledge, and construction safety.
What You Will Be Doing- Have 1 year of experience in the trade working under a Journeyman or Master HVAC mechanic.
- Travel throughout the U.S. on 3–4 week deployment cycles.
- Know OSHA construction safety guidelines.
- Willingness to work overtime hours when required.
- Ability to work outdoors on roofs in hot and cold weather.
- Read and comprehend company policies, procedures, and job duties.
- 1 year of experience in commercial HVAC equipment replacements (roof units, adapter curbs, HVAC electrical, construction safety).
- Ability to work overtime.
- Willingness to travel 100% – required.

- National background check.
- High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- National background check.
- Pre‑employment drug screening.
- Motor Vehicle Records check (MVR).
Compensation:
Hourly non‑exempt role. Starting pay range: $18–$24 per hour.
Employees may earn overtime pay for work exceeding 40 hours per week, as permitted by state law.
Benefits (subject to eligibility): tuition reimbursement; medical, dental, vision, and prescription drug coverage; 401(k) retirement plan; short‑term disability; 8 weeks paid birthing leave; 2 weeks paid bonding leave; life and long‑term disability insurance. New hires may also receive up to 10 paid days off, 10 paid holidays, and 3 floating holidays, depending on hire date and eligibility.
