Job Description

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) provides the foundation for Oracle’s next-generation cloud services—empowering developers and enterprises to build, deploy, and scale applications securely and efficiently. The OCI Source Code Management (SCM) Platform team builds the core developer platform that powers collaboration, CI/CD, and large‑scale software delivery across all of OCI engineering. As a Consulting Member of Technical Staff, you will lead the architecture, development, and operations of distributed systems that underpin Oracle’s CI/CD pipelines and artifact repositories. You will drive platform scalability, reliability, and developer productivity, while owning end‑to‑end service operations—including participation in on‑call rotations.

This role combines deep technical leadership with hands‑on engineering to simplify workflows, enhance automation and observability, and accelerate how OCI developers build, test, and release software globally.

Responsibilities

You will play a key leadership role in evolving OCI’s Source Code Management (SCM) Platform— the foundation enabling all OCI engineering teams to collaborate, build, and deploy software s role combines architecture, hands‑on development, and operational ownership, driving improvements in CI/CD efficiency, developer productivity, and overall service reliability.

  • Lead the design and development of distributed, highly available SCM and CI/CD platform services.

  • Architect scalable solutions that simplify developer workflows and reduce code‑to‑deploy latency.

  • Drive operational excellence by improving on‑call processes, automation, and system efficiency.

  • Own end‑to‑end service lifecycle— from design and deployment to monitoring, alerting, and incident response.

  • Establish best practices for observability, fault tolerance, and proactive capacity management.

  • Collaborate with Dev Ops, Developer Productivity, and Infrastructure teams to deliver integrated solutions across OCI.

  • Mentor engineers, conduct design reviews, and provide technical direction across multiple projects.

  • Use data‑driven insights to enhance performance, scalability, and developer experience.

  • Partner with product managers and leadership to define roadmaps aligned with OCI’s engineering vision.

US:
Hiring Range in USD from: $96,800 to $251,600 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

  • Paid time off:
    Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non‑overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment.

    Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
