Organize, coordinate, and promote a comprehensive sports program that meets the needs and interests of the district and community.

• Instruct students and manage their behavior effectively.
• Maintain strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Apply strong problem-solving skills in coaching scenarios.
• Obtain Coaching Principles Certificate (NFHS or ASEP).
• Hold Sports First Aid, Health & Safety for Coaches Certificate (ASEP or PREPARE).
• Complete coaches' portion of NFHS Sportsmanship Course.
• Complete NFHS Concussion, Heat Acclimatization, and Sudden Cardiac Arrest courses.
• Maintain active CPR certification with AED Training annually.
• Possess general coaching knowledge, sport-specific knowledge, and instructional techniques.

• Use diverse instructional techniques to enhance student-athletes' abilities.
• Manage athletic activities, contests, and practices to foster growth, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
• Collaborate with school staff to set instructional goals and ensure educational development.
• Establish and evaluate performance criteria for competition.
• Ensure safety and compliance with all AHSAA rules.
• Monitor student eligibility for extracurricular activities.
• Coordinate with Athletic Director for scheduling and event arrangements.
• Continuously evaluate and improve coaching programs.
• Supervise student-athletes during competitions and trips.
• Advise students on NCAA regulations regarding scholarships and recruiting.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

• Minimum of three to five years coaching experience.
• Additional qualifications as required by the school board.
