* Organize, coordinate, and promote a comprehensive sports program that meets the needs and interests of the district and community.

* Duties and Responsibilities:

* - Instruct students and manage their behavior
- Demonstrate strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Exhibit problem-solving skills
- Obtain Coaching Principles Certificate (NFHS or ASEP)
- Hold Sports First Aid Health & Safety for Coaches Certificate (ASEP or PREPARE)
- Complete coaches' portion of NFHS Sportsmanship Course
- Complete NFHS Concussion course
- Complete NFHS Heat Acclimatization course
- Maintain active CPR certification with AED Training annually
- Complete NFHS Sudden Cardiac Arrest course
- Possess general knowledge of coaching techniques and procedures
- Have knowledge of the sport and specific subjects assigned
- Understand curriculum and instruction principles

** Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:*
* - Use various instructional techniques to meet student athletes' needs
- Manage athletic activities, contests, and practices to promote growth, teamwork, and sportsmanship
- Collaborate with school staff to plan and implement instructional goals
- Establish and evaluate athletic performance criteria
- Ensure safety and compliance with AHSAA rules
- Monitor student eligibility for extracurricular activities
- Work with Athletic Director to schedule and organize competitions
- Develop and evaluate coaching programs for continuous improvement
- Supervise student athletes during competitions and trips
- Advise students on NCAA regulations regarding scholarships and recruiting
- Perform other duties as assigned

* - Minimum of 3-5 years coaching experience
- Any additional qualifications as required by the board
