Position: Pilot (First Officer) - South Region

Purpose of Position

The Pilot is responsible for providing a superior air transportation experience with a safety record that is second to none on every flight. The Pilot is the face of Net Jets, delivering not only technically accurate and safe transportation but also an exceptional service experience for every Net Jets Owner and passenger. The Pilot is expected to wear many hats, ranging from professional aviator to in‑flight service provider, and must remain in full command of the aircraft at all times while maintaining a professional demeanor.

Tasks

and Responsibilities
  • Safe operation of the aircraft from taxi, take‑off and landing per FAA guidelines, OEM checklists, Net Jets Flight Operations Manual (FOM) or Aircraft Operating Manual (AOM), and Standard Operating Practices (SOPs).
  • Greets Owners/passengers pre‑flight, provides introductions and briefs them on itinerary, weather updates, and safety briefings; explains any itinerary changes.
  • Delivers in‑flight service as needed, including handling of alcohol and catering.
  • Loads and stows all baggage properly on the aircraft.
  • Handles flights for Owners with pets or who smoke.
  • Acts as final authority on the aircraft regarding compliance with all safety and regulatory guidance.
  • Acts as liaison between Owners/passengers and Net Jets from arrival at the FBO to safe landing and departure from the final FBO.
  • Communicates maintenance abnormalities or discrepancies to the Company via the Maintenance Control Center (MCC) for the fleet.
  • Completes required paperwork for maintenance abnormalities or discrepancies.
  • Performs other duties as assigned based on assignment needs.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other (KSAOs)
  • At least 21 years of age.
  • 1,500 flight hours total, or 1,250 hours with an R‑ATP certificate, or 1,000 hours with military qualification, or 1,000 hours with an R‑ATP certificate.
  • 200 hours cross‑country (>50 nm) flight time.
  • 250 hours fixed‑wing PIC.
  • 100 hours night flying, or 75 hours with ≥45 night take‑offs and landings.
  • 75 hours instrument time (actual or simulated).
  • ATP written completed before Indoctrination Training.
  • 50 hours fixed‑wing, multi‑engine time.
  • Current FAA First‑Class Medical certificate.
  • FCC Restricted Radio Operator's Permit.
  • Valid passport; authorized to work in the U.S. and travel internationally without restriction.
  • Work flexible hours: day, night, weekdays, weekends, holidays; manage rest to be ready for duty.
  • Duty may last up to fourteen hours per day for up to eight days; travel may include multiple time zones and extreme weather.
  • Must be able to secure appropriate airport authority and/or U.S. Customs security badges.
  • Must pass TSA background screening.
  • Maintain a neat, well‑groomed appearance; demonstrate strong passenger interaction skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication under pressure.
  • Quick and accurate decision‑making with close attention to detail.
  • Physical ability to exert up to 50 lb force occasionally; 30 lb frequently; 10 lb constantly.
  • Work around animals; conduct flights for smokers.
