Job Overview

Apply specialized knowledge in various surgical procedures to expedite process and reduce patient risk. Assist in the preparation of the surgical area. Scrub, assist, and anticipate physicians' needs during surgical procedures.

• High School Diploma or GED (Required)
• Graduate of an accredited school of Surgical Technology. We will accept anon-accredited school of Surgical Technology if hired prior to 2019(Required)
• Other Surgical Technologist Certification required Upon Hire Required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) BLS/CPR(Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers)

• Entry level technical role that develops confidence and knowledge in technical and operational areas
• Keep all needed surgical equipment at the ready, including sterile linens, saline, lights, suction machines, etc
• Conduct pre- and post-surgery patient care, including shaving, transporting, and applying dressings
• Set up and maintain surgical field, collaborating with nurses and doctors and assisting where required. Assemble, transport, and retrieve surgical equipment, ensuring all pieces leave the room
• Inspect, maintain, decontaminate, and repair surgical equipment, keeping inventory records up to date
• Solves straight forward problems
• Relies upon guidance and training from supervisor and more experienced team members.
