Day in Life
  • As a Pharmacy Services Pharmacy Technician IV, you support the dispensing of sterile compounded medications using Omnicell's automated IV equipment. Your role includes equipment management, maintenance, material movement, inventory optimization, documentation review, and customer communication to build strong relationships.
Responsibilities
  • Perform IV automation tasks in an aseptic environment according to standard operating procedures.
  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning and maintenance of IV automation equipment.
  • Follow Safe Handling of Hazardous Drugs procedures when handling medications.
  • Identify and order medications to maintain optimal inventories.
  • Monitor and order consumable supplies required for equipment operation.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting and standard maintenance of IV automation equipment; report unresolved issues to the IV TAC.
  • Complete fingertip and media fill sampling.
  • Maintain open communication with the pharmacy operations manager and customer to enable proactive problem identification and resolution.
  • Strive for high customer satisfaction by aligning the Pharmacy Services Program to provide customer-focused support; act as liaison between Omnicell and the customer for concerns.
  • Conduct training and ensure completion of required documents; ensure compliance with Pharmacy Services procedures and policies.
  • Maintain fiscal responsibility for work-related expenses and adhere to corporate card and travel policies.
  • Comply with applicable procedures, policies, and guidelines at the customer facility.
  • Maintain national certification and all state required credentials.
  • Serve as a resource or SME for Omnicell team members, providing training or assistance on-site or remotely to ensure optimal workflow.
Specialized Knowledge / Skills
  • Good organizational skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work with mechanical equipment.
  • Working knowledge of computer hardware, Microsoft Windows, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Self-starter who can work independently and follow a detailed plan.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication with customers and colleagues at various levels.
Basic Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Active Ohio State Board of Pharmacy Technician License/Registration.
  • Active National Pharmacy Technician Certificate: PTCB / CPhT / EXCPT.
  • Working knowledge of IV Compounding.
Preferred Knowledge And Skills
  • One year of IV Compounding experience.
  • Proficient in PPE and hand hygiene techniques.
  • Working knowledge of sterile environment requirements.
  • Completed an accredited Pharmacy Technician Training Program.
  • Two years of hospital pharmacy automation experience.
  • Basic troubleshooting skills with automation devices.
  • Automation implementation experience.
Work Conditions
  • Ability to travel out of state for training as needed.
  • Able to commute daily and work at: 10500 Montgomery Rd., Cincinnati, OH 45242
  • 2nd shift (exact hours TBD): M-TH 1:30 pm to 12 am / M-F 2:30 pm to 11 pm
  • 8- to 10-hour shifts; hospital pharmacy environment.
  • Working hours may extend beyond normal business hours based on business or project needs.
  • Standing for extended periods; potential exposure to hazardous drugs.
  • Able to lift up to 35 lbs.

Selected candidates may be required to pass a math aptitude test.
