Teacher / Evaluator (LTS) – Birth-3 Early Childhood Special Education

Long Term Substitute Position with Sherburne Northern Wright Special Education Cooperative
Duration:
February 17, 2026 to May 29, 2026 (14 weeks, 4 days per week)

This is a long term substitute Birth to Three early childhood special education position. The teacher will provide early intervention services and complete evaluations during home visits in the three member districts (Becker, Big Lake, Monticello). The teacher will collaborate with other service providers to best meet the needs of students and families.

• Licensed in the State of Minnesota to teach Early Childhood Special Education (B-Age
  6)
• Valid Minnesota Driver’s License

• Assure and implement state and federal laws, statutes, rules and regulations pertaining to special education
• Follow and implement all due process and timeline requirements in special education
• Experience working with infants, toddlers and families
• Experience completing initial Part C and B evaluations with infants, toddlers, and their families
• Effective communication and teaming skills
• Willingness to be flexible
• Excellent attendance
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Frequent travel within service area for home visits
• Knowledge and application of technology and assistive technology
• Adapt activities to the individual needs of students to facilitate learning and meet learning goals
• Maintain confidentiality of information about students and families
• Experience working with diverse students and families
