Job Summary
WEST ABE offers free educational services to adult learners in Wright County and surrounding communities. WEST ABE is a consortium of educational sites within school districts and four county jails to help adults acquire basic skills. Monticello is the fiscal agent. Certification And Experience
- Current standard teaching license for the State of Minnesota
- Previous experience teaching within an adult basic education program, and working with diverse students and families, preferred.
- Pass the Background Check
- Previous experience working with Community Education/adults preferred+
- Computer skills required, knowledge of MS Office/Google or comparable
- Strong leadership and time management skills required
- Understanding Minnesota Academic Standards and GED requirements
- Effective decision-making skills while acting within the district policies, procedures and guidelines
- Ability to communicate effectively with students and staff
- Maintain confidentiality of information about students, families and staff
Rate of Pay: $27.75/hr.
