Monticello is centrally located on Interstate 94, less than 25 miles northwest of Maple Grove and 30 miles southeast of Saint Cloud. The district serves more than 4,000 students annually and is recognized for strong graduation rates, test scores, and early college opportunities.

Job Summary:

Magic Adventures School Age Childcare Program is looking for responsible high school students who have a passion for working with children in our school aged care program for grades Pre-K to 5. This position targets high school Aides during School Year 25-26. Shifts are 2-5 PM, 2-5:30 PM, and 2-6 PM. The program operates before and after school for elementary-aged students and also on early release days, non-school days, and during the summer (longer shifts during summer).

• Support the planning and implementation of the child care program and its daily activities.
• Participate and supervise daily activities with children and program areas in accordance with program guidelines, operations, and daily plans.
• Be independently responsible for up to 10-15 students.

• Currently enrolled in High School and at least 16 years old by September 1, 2025
• Must have current First Aid & CPR certification or obtain within the first 90 days of employment (class provided by Magic Adventures upon hire)
• Previous school age child care experience preferred

• Supervise children in assigned areas with daily activities, as delegated
• Manage students' behaviors and enforce program rules, safety procedures, and regulations
• Assist with cleaning, organizing, and setting up games, materials, and supplies
• Record-keeping including attendance, discipline reports, health and safety reports, and other required reports
• Communicate positively with parents regarding arrival and departure
• Knowledge and application of technology
• Maintain confidentiality of information about students
• Experience working with diverse students and families
