CMMHC has a rewarding opportunity to serve as a School Linked Mental Health Professional (SLMH) serving the following school districts: Buffalo/Hanover/Montrose, Monticello, Big Lake, Maple Lake, Sartell, Sauk Rapids/Rice, Howard Lake/Waverly/Winsted, Tierra Nova, Wright ALC, and Kaleidoscope.

This school-based mental health program partners with local school districts to provide accessible, in-school mental health services for students up to 12th grade. By embedding services within the school environment, the program reduces barriers to care and fostering collaboration with educators and community systems. Mental health professionals deliver direct support, design classroom toolkits, and participate in school-wide interventions to improve student outcomes and reduce behavioral referrals.

Clinicians work closely with school staff to respond to students’ needs in real-time throughout the school day.

  • Develop and cultivate relationships with school sites and community members to expand and maintain school-linked collaborative efforts.
  • Provide medically necessary services in appropriate settings, including the family when possible.
  • Develop and maintain therapeutic rapport with parents and care providers to allow for improved client or student functioning.
  • Provide flexible support to a dynamic community based therapist team.
  • Collaborate with care providers, social workers, outside agencies, and school staff.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
  • Master’s or Doctoral Degree in Psychology, Social Work, or Marriage and Family Therapy
  • Licensed as an LP, LICSW, LMFT or LPCC
  • Clearance from DHS and sexual exploitations screening
  • Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record.
