Monday through Friday, 8:00am‑4:30pm, onsite in Monticello, MN.
As a Calibration Operator
, you will be a resource for the Calibration Department, assisting with a variety of job functions including gathering gages to be calibrated, returning gages after calibration, updating calibration certificates from outside vendors, and sending/receiving gages for outside calibration.
- Collect and Return Gages
:
Generate, organize, and interpret gage recall reports; return gages to proper storage; verify gages from production; check in gages and return to correct location; verify external calibration gages to purchase order and receive in ERP; work with technicians to manage workflow. - Documentation and Reporting
:
Review gage recall reports and vendor quotes; review vendor calibration certifications; update vendor calibration records; review gage transaction history and extend records; inactivate unused gages per compliance; detect and report defective gages; ensure documentation and traceability per ISO 17025, AS9100, and ISO 13485 standards. - Cross Departmental Support
:
Communicate effectively with team members and other departments; exhibit health and safety knowledge and safety awareness; identify improvement opportunities; report hazards and unsafe conditions; perform other tasks as assigned.
- Education and Experience
:
High school diploma or equivalent required; two‑year certificate or degree in related technical field preferred; familiarity with quality management software and ERP systems (Epicor or other) is preferred. - Skills and Competencies
:
Excellent problem‑solving skills; excellent attention to detail; strong organizational and planning skills; proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook; strong communication skills; strong mechanical aptitude; ability to make effective and timely decisions; work efficiently with minimal supervision; team player; embody UMC core values of Great People, Going Beyond, and Growing.
