A rapidly growing manufacturer in the advanced technology sector is seeking a Sr. Director of Quality to lead strategy, systems, and execution across multiple facilities. This individual will shape the long‑term quality roadmap, elevate manufacturing standards, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and ensure compliance with relevant industry, regulatory, and certification requirements.
The ideal candidate is an experienced quality leader with strong technical depth, proven leadership ability, and a passion for building high‑performing teams and world‑class processes within a fast‑moving, highly automated environment.
Responsibilities- Lead the development, optimization, and governance of a comprehensive Quality Management System including sustaining certifications and compliance requirements.
- Establish quality policies, standards, procedures, inspection plans, and audit frameworks supporting best‑in‑class manufacturing performance.
- Oversee quality operations across all sites, including inspection, testing, audits, non‑conformance management, corrective actions, and supplier quality activities.
- Partner closely with engineering, operations, and product teams to drive quality into product design, process controls, new product introductions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Lead and develop a multi‑site quality team, ensuring strong communication, technical capability, and accountability across all levels.
- Implement data‑driven metrics and reporting systems to assess quality performance and inform strategic decision‑making.
- Build and maintain programs that ensure supplier quality, traceability, incoming material verification, and alignment with regulatory requirements.
- Serve as a senior advisor to executive leadership on quality strategy, operational risks, and long‑range quality planning
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, or related technical discipline.
- 7+ years of progressive experience in manufacturing quality leadership
- Demonstrated success managing Quality Management Systems and maintaining industry certifications (ISO, UL, etc.).
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skillset, including root cause analysis and corrective action leadership.
- Experience leading and scaling multi‑site quality teams.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications; GD&T proficiency strongly preferred.
- Experience with lean, six sigma, DMAIC, or similar methodologies.
- Strong communication, executive presence, and cross‑functional collaboration skills.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed (about 25% target)
