Die Cast Quality Auditor - 2nd Shift

Join our team as a Die Cast Quality Auditor
, where you will be a key role in ensuring the quality and performance of castings used in Indian Motorcycle engine crankcases. In this role, you will be the primary quality resource on our 2nd shift Die Cast operation.

• Perform and evaluate 3D scan for dimensional analysis of castings.
• Perform and evaluate Xray scans for porosity analysis of castings.
• Perform and evaluate visual inspections of castings per requirements.

Independently investigate non-conforming material, document findings, and initiate appropriate containment activities.

Assist in root cause investigations and support corrective and preventive action implementation.

• Cross-section parts as needed for visual verification.

Document and communicate finding and risks, and recommendations to leadership and cross-functional teams.

• Provide guidance and training to production operators for visual inspection and inspection equipment as needed.
• Work collaboratively and maintain open communication with production team on quality findings.

Recommend and execute process improvements to enhance product quality, reduce defects, and improve inspection efficiency.

• Performs other duties as directed by supervisor.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Basic understanding of GD&T concepts and basic gauging equipment.
• Basic measurement and math capabilities
• Basic experience reading machining blueprints.
• Intermediate computer knowledge, including email and Microsoft office suite

2 years or more of quality inspection experience.

CNC Machining and Die Cast background strongly preferred.

The starting base pay range for Minnesota is $24 to $29 per hour. Individual salaries and positioning within the range are determined through a wide variety of factors, including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography. 2nd shift roles include additional 7% shift premium. While individual pay could fall anywhere in the range based on these factors, it is not common to start at the high end or top of the range.
