As an Applebee’s® Assistant Manager, you will oversee all aspects of the day‑to‑day restaurant operations. Your focus will be on delivering a passionate experience for both guests and staff, leading the team with excellent problem solving, stress management, and a commitment to outstanding service.

• Ensure timely, friendly service according to company guidelines and achieve unit objectives.
• Cultivate a culture aligned with Flynn Applebee’s core values.
• Respond promptly to verbal guest complaints and correct them with staff.
• Prioritize guest contact and complete required table visits as per standards.
• Maintain departmental inventory levels.
• Enforce product preparation and presentation standards, performing line checks.
• Effectively schedule employees to meet sales demands.
• Maintain safety and security programs.
• Lead restaurant organization, cleanliness, and sanitation.
• Report maintenance needs to the General Manager/Area Director.
• Promote quality recruitment and referral of potential team members and managers.
• Support Flynn | Applebee’s training procedures for new managers.
• Maintain staff training through orientation, sessions, meetings, and policies.
• Use one‑on‑one and performance documentation to develop employees.
• Provide fair feedback and work on employee development areas.
• Document performance situations that may require disciplinary action.
• Ensure compliance with all company policies, practices, and procedures.
• Control departmental costs.
• Comply with local, state, and federal laws, regulations, and guidelines.
• Drive bi‑weekly/weekly food and liquor inventories as requested.
• Prepare and submit accurate daily paperwork.
• Maintain sanitation standards that meet or exceed health department regulations.
• Act as a role model for managers and employees.
• Develop proficiency in store‑related technology.
• Work all positions within the restaurant as needed, including line, expo, seating, and bartending.
• Utilize the Management Development Program for continuous leadership growth.

• At least 2‑3 years of restaurant management experience.
• Serve Safe Food and Serve Safe Alcohol certifications (plus).

Applebee’s® Assistant Managers earn $15.38 – $26.44 per hour (approximately $44,850 – $68,500 annually based on a 50‑hour work week) with potential monthly bonuses at certain locations.

• Work various shifts, including weekends.
• Stand and move continuously for up to ten (10) hours.
• Safely lift up to 50 pounds.
• Read, write, and use small tools and equipment with hand dexterity.
