Job OverviewAs a Field Merchandiser Floater, you'll work independently, showcase your organization and time‑management skills, establish retailer relationships, and represent Hallmark. You will collaborate with local store teams to optimize product placement, maintain inventory levels, and support teammates with seasonal resets and installations when needed. Occasionally, you may work with other products from other companies in the stores you service.
Salary and Schedule Details- Your starting pay will be between $13.00 – $15.00 depending on your skills and experience.
- Eligible employees receive annual pay increases.
- Part‑time position with a variable schedule during the work week.
- Average weekly hours are between 2–6 hours per week.
- Availability the week before and after major holidays, which may include weekends, is required.
- Utilize a mobile device to restock, organize, and monitor the inventory of Hallmark products. The technology is critical for daily work, communication with your supervisor, reporting time, providing feedback, and completing required merchandising surveys. Professional and courteous interaction with store employees, management, and customers is vital.
- Holiday support:
Leading up to and following holidays such as Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas, expect additional days and extended hours; on some holidays you may be required to work on the actual holiday itself. - Department resets:
You may be part of a team responsible for installations and tasks like building and installing Hallmark fixtures, relocating card departments and products, and resetting card sections. You will be notified two weeks in advance for remodel assignments, which may include evenings or weekends. - Team support:
As part of Hallmark’s field organization, you are part of a network of merchandisers who support each other in their territories.
This is a physically demanding job that requires a high level of energy and urgency. You must consistently push, pull, lift, and carry cartons, merchandise, and display fixtures up to 30 pounds, occasionally up to 50 pounds. Kneeling, squatting, walking, and standing throughout your shift, and possibly climbing stairs and step ladders, are all required.
Basic Qualifications- At least 18 years of age.
- Ability to read, write, and understand English.
- Ability to grasp, pull, lift, and carry products up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
- Ability to operate a digital hand‑held device and interpret information.
- Access to Wi‑Fi and the internet.
- Consistent transportation to travel to and between assigned stores as scheduled.
Part‑time employees with a working schedule of less than 30 hours have access to voluntary benefits including dental, vision, critical illness, accident insurance, hospital indemnity, and minimum essential coverage (preventive care).
